About the Role
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- On-Site Supervision of Construction projects to ensure clients schedules are met
- Ensuring Safety and quality at all times
- Accurate tracking of GTS assets, materials, personnel, etc.
- Effective and accurate communications with GTS staff Management, and Customers.
- Other miscellaneous administrative/management tasks as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Restoration of work sites
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Excellent understanding of strand placement, set up requirement and required materials to
accomplish task
- Excellent understanding of coax placement, trunk and feeder and the materials to accomplish
task with particular emphasis in placing loops and the importance of loops.
- Excellent understanding of design map and ability to understand tombstones, footages, pole
information and location of tails for electronics
- Excellent understanding of fiber placement, storage loops, tail requirements and loop
requirements for FTTH.
- Ability to splice coax cable
- Good understanding of powering requirements for network turn up
- Excellent people skills
- Excellent documentation skills
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Must present a positive, professional image to employees, customers, and clients in all interactions.
Must have strong communication skills and experience working with customers.
Have problem-solving skills and able to think on your feet.
Technical knowledge in using Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Dropbox, Outlook
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposure to varying temperatures as work is primarily outside.
Noise levels are moderate to heavy.
Work in different types of terrain including water, sand, and dirt.
Varying degrees of light as work may begin early morning and continue in the evenings and overnight.
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to carry 60-70 lbs,
Must be able to work at 28 feet or higher.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Must be able to bend, stand, sit, crawl, climb and lift throughout work shift.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a valid Driver’s License during the term of employment.
